Surge lifts, spreads smooth basalt frosting,
                    fragmenting sky.

Dig fingers in sliding slurry
Grab fist full, but fist is empty.
Clench stones, but stones don't longer.
Immerse foam, but vanished.

Pebbles, grains, liquid light, heaving crest:

vanish upon touch.
